How do I manage cassava mosaic disease in tapioca?

Yellow mottling, distorted curled leaves and stunting point to cassava mosaic disease, a virus problem. The main way it spreads is through infected stem cuttings, and whitefly can also transmit it. There is no spray that cures a virus, so management is preventive: plant only clean cuttings taken from healthy, disease-free mother plants, rogue out and destroy badly infected plants early, and avoid taking setts from any field showing mosaic. Use tolerant or resistant varieties where CTCRI or your KVK recommends them. Managing whitefly populations helps reduce spread.
