If I do grow stevia, how many cuttings of leaf do I get a year and for how many years does the planting last?

Stevia is a perennial that gives multiple leaf harvests a year and the planting can last for a few years. After establishment from plantlets, you typically get several cuttings per year, harvesting the leafy growth before flowering since the sweetness is in the leaves, and the plant regrows for the next cut. The same planting commonly remains productive for around 3 to 5 years before yields fall and it needs replanting. The repeated harvests spread income across the year. Dry the leaf well after each cut as buyers want dry leaf. Because it is a multi year crop with a real selling risk, confirm a genuine buyer and a written price before committing. Check the recommended harvest stage and spacing with your KVK.
We take several cuts a year and the field lasts a few years. The leaf must be cut before flowering for best sweetness.
