How do I propagate and plant Giloy from cuttings?

Giloy is very easy to propagate from stem cuttings. Take healthy, somewhat mature stem pieces with a few nodes and plant them at the start of the monsoon near a support like a tree, trellis or sturdy fence, since it is a climber and grows better with something to climb. It establishes fast on poor soils with little input. The thicker, mature stem is the part used, so you generally let the vine grow for around a year or more before harvesting good thickness stem, then it keeps regrowing from the rootstock for repeated harvests in later years. It needs minimal irrigation once established. Because it is so cheap to start, your main cost risk is low, but still line up a buyer before scaling up.
