Broccoli demand in India is still mostly city and channel driven, not a general mandi crop. The steady buyers are supermarkets, hotels, restaurants and modern retail in and around big cities, plus a smaller export and quick-commerce window. Prices have ranged widely, often around Rs 20 to 60 per kg at farm gate in season and higher off season, but this swings a lot and crashes when many people plant at once. Before you commit area, line up a buyer or a vegetable aggregator first and confirm current local rates at your nearest mandi or with an FPO, because broccoli without a buyer can be hard to sell in bulk locally.

Near Pune I sell broccoli to two hotel suppliers and a retail chain. When I had a buyer fixed it was fine, the one year I grew extra hoping to sell in the local sabzi mandi it just did not move at a good rate.
