I am in a different state and like Dasheri. Will Dasheri grafts grow and fruit well in my area, or is it tied to the UP climate like Alphonso is to Konkan?

Dasheri is fairly adaptable and is grown well beyond UP, in parts of MP, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar and even southern states under irrigation. Unlike the very location-tied pulp character of Alphonso, Dasheri trees set and bear in many subtropical mango zones, which is why it is widely planted commercially. What changes by location is ripening time and exact flavour, and you will not get the Malihabad GI premium outside that notified belt. It needs a dry spell at flowering, so very humid coastal weather raises anthracnose and reduces set. If your area already grows commercial mango, Dasheri grafts from a reliable nursery should do fine; ask your local KVK whether Dasheri or a regional variety yields better for your district.
Dasheri grows well in our Punjab orchards. Ripens here too, just the rate is normal market, not the Malihabad branded rate.
