Indian pomegranate is exported to several markets including the Middle East and parts of Europe and Asia, with the Bhagwa variety being popular for export. Like grapes, pomegranate export to demanding markets works through APEDA traceability (the system for pomegranate has been Anar Net), where your orchard is registered, residue samples are tested, and only compliant plots get clearance. You need IEC, APEDA registration, residue compliance with the destination country's MRLs, a phytosanitary certificate, and good packhouse grading and cold chain. Bacterial blight (telya) and fruit cracking hurt export quality, so orchard management matters. Some premium markets need specific pest-risk treatments, so confirm each country's conditions with APEDA and your exporter. Most growers export through a registered exporter with a packhouse, especially for the cold chain. Confirm Anar Net registration and current market access on the APEDA portal.

Bhagwa is what the export buyers want, good colour and size. We grade strictly, only the best go to export, the rest to local market.

Telya (bacterial blight) marks on the fruit get the lot rejected for export. Manage it in the orchard well before harvest.

We register our plots on the APEDA traceability system every season and export through an exporter who handles the cold chain. Doing the reefer logistics alone is too risky for a grower.
