Whitish twisting mines inside the leaf, plus folded webbed leaf tips with small larvae that brown and scorch the foliage, is groundnut leaf miner. In dry spells it builds up fast and a heavily mined field looks burnt from a distance, which cuts yield. Scout early, because young larvae inside folded leaves are easier to control. Pheromone traps help monitor the moths. Light irrigation in dry spells reduces the build up. On threshold spray a recommended insecticide and rotate modes of action between rounds, directing the spray at the folded leaf tips where larvae hide. Avoid repeated broad spectrum sprays that kill the parasitoids which normally keep leaf miner down. Follow label dose and PHI and confirm the current chemical with your KVK or Junagadh Agricultural University.
Leaf miner burns the whole field fast in a dry October here. Spraying when the folds first appear, and aiming the nozzle at the leaf tips, made my spray actually work.
