What technical skill and staff are needed to run a tissue culture lab?

Tissue culture is a specialised laboratory science and it genuinely needs trained staff, it is not something to run casually without expertise. You need people skilled in sterile technique, media preparation, the specific protocols for each plant species, subculturing, and identifying and preventing contamination, plus someone competent in the hardening of plantlets in the nursery stage. Typically this means at least one qualified person with a background in plant biotechnology or tissue culture and trained assistants, all following strict aseptic discipline, because a single lapse can contaminate whole batches. A farmer can own and invest in such a lab, but running the technical work usually requires hiring or partnering with trained technicians rather than doing it personally without training. Many successful labs are run by people with a science background or who employ such staff. If you are serious, get proper hands-on training at an established lab or institution, and plan for skilled staffing as a permanent cost, not an optional one.
