Tea mosquito bug attacks tender flushes, flower panicles and young nuts, causing black necrotic patches and heavy nut drop, and it is the main yield killer in Konkan cashew. The key is timing sprays to the three sensitive stages, new flush, flowering and early nut set, rather than spraying randomly. Recommended schedules from the Vengurla station and Cashew Directorate use insecticides like a synthetic pyrethroid or other label recommended molecules at flush and flowering, rotated to avoid resistance. Spray in the cooler part of the day and cover the panicles well. Always follow the label dose and pre harvest interval, and get the current spray schedule from your KVK or the cashew research station since recommendations are updated. Keep the orchard open by pruning so spray reaches inside the canopy.

Timing is everything with TMB. I mark the flush and flowering dates and spray exactly then. If I am even a week late the damage is already done. KVK here gives a calendar every year.
