I have a genuinely cold hill plot and a possible buyer, what income range should I realistically expect from tulip

Tulip can fetch a good per stem rate because it is a premium niche flower with a short window, but the income is a wide range and heavily limited by your bulb cost and the narrow market. Each imported bulb gives essentially one stem, the bulbs are costly, and the selling window is short, so your margin depends on getting a strong rate from a confirmed buyer during that window. In a genuinely cold area with a buyer lined up it can pay, but it is higher risk than the steadier cut flowers because so much rides on bulb cost and timing. Because the rate and the market are so variable and niche, do not rely on any headline income figure, verify the current premium stem rate with your actual buyer and start with a small trial lot before scaling. Treat it as a specialist premium crop, not a bread and butter one.
I started small with tulip and I am glad I did. The premium rate is real in the short window but the bulb cost eats into it. A trial lot taught me more than any number online.
