How profitable is Aloe Vera farming really and where do I sell the gel or leaves?

Aloe vera is real but heavily over hyped, and it is one of the most mis-sold buyback crops in India. The plant grows easily in hot dry areas and lives for years, giving leaf harvests after about the first year and then for several years. The catch is the market: raw aloe leaf is bulky, heavy and low value, processing units are limited and located in specific areas, and many buyback promoters sold costly pups and a high price promise, then never lifted the leaves or paid much less. Without a processing unit within reasonable transport distance, hauling heavy leaves far makes no sense. So before planting, find a real, nearby buyer or processor, confirm the price per kg of fresh leaf and the quantity in writing, and verify they are actually buying. Do not buy planting pups from the same party promising buyback. Verify demand and transport cost before scaling up.
