But the same buyback caution applies fully here. There is no fixed mandi price, demand is company driven, and Kalmegh contract offers have been mis-sold. Do not plant on a verbal buyback promise. Get the buyer name, the price per kg of dry herb, the quality standard, often linked to the andrographolide content, and the quantity, all in writing, then independently confirm the buyer is actually purchasing. Kalmegh is a short, single season crop, which lowers your time risk, but the marketing risk is real. Verify the buyer and demand before planting.
