Arugula or rocket, is there demand and is it a good quick crop near a city?

Arugula, also called rocket, is one of the easier and quicker exotic greens, ready as baby leaf in roughly 3 to 5 weeks, so you can take many quick cuttings. Demand is a city, salad and restaurant channel: hotels, cafes, salad and pizza outlets, supermarkets and quick commerce, so it needs a buyer or aggregator, not the mandi. It can be a good fit for a small farmer near a city precisely because the cycle is short and you can supply fresh leaf often. Prices are good per kg in the right channel but the market is limited. Test demand small first and confirm local buyers and rates.
Rocket is fast money near Bengaluru, I cut baby leaf in a few weeks and resow. But it only sells to my salad and pizza buyers, the local market does not want it.
Short cycle is the big plus. I do small staggered beds so I always have fresh tender leaf for the cafe, older leaf gets too pungent and they reject it.
