Baby corn yield per acre and what price range for the cobs.
2 जवाब
Baby corn yield is usually reported as dehusked cobs and falls in a range that varies a lot with variety, population and how many cobs per plant you take, so plan on a conservative figure for your conditions. Remember a large part of the plant weight is the green fodder you get as a by-product, which adds real value if you keep animals. Cob prices vary widely by buyer and grade, with processors and exporters paying differently from local hotels. Because you can take multiple crops a year, annual return can add up even if a single crop looks modest. Verify achievable yield and current buyer rates with your KVK and local processors.
The fodder value is real money for me since I have cattle. Counting just the cobs undersells it, the green stalk feeds my animals and saves on fodder cost.
