For leafy coriander, steady nitrogen keeps the foliage tender, green and fast-growing, while for seed crops a balance of phosphorus and potash supports flowering and grain filling. A good base of farmyard manure mixed in before sowing builds the soil and releases nutrients slowly through the short cycle. Because coriander is often grown densely and harvested quickly, even spreading and timely top dressing matter. Recommended NPK dose for Coriander
A common recommendation is about 50 to 60 kg nitrogen, 25 to 40 kg phosphorus and 20 to 30 kg potash per hectare, which is roughly 20 to 25 kg N, 10 to 16 kg P and 8 to 12 kg K per acre. Leafy coriander grown only for greens needs slightly more nitrogen, while seed crops need balanced phosphorus and potash. Rainfed coriander needs less than irrigated. Boron is rarely needed and should be used only when a soil test shows a shortage, as excess boron quickly damages this sensitive crop.
