Is a sprinkler system or a drip system a better subsidy claim for my crop?

I grow field crops on a large area and also some row crops. I want to know which gives a better subsidy outcome, drip or sprinkler.

Both drip and sprinkler are subsidised under micro-irrigation, but which is the better claim depends on your crop and field, not just the subsidy rate. Drip suits widely spaced row and horticulture crops, gives the highest water saving and the best fertigation control, and usually carries a higher per-acre cost, so the subsidy amount is larger but so is your share. Sprinkler suits close-spaced field crops over larger areas, costs less per acre and is simpler, so the absolute subsidy is smaller but your out-of-pocket may also be lower. Many states give a higher subsidy percentage to small and marginal farmers and may cap the area or cost per beneficiary, which can change the comparison. The right choice is the system that fits your crop and water source; the subsidy then follows. Confirm the current subsidy percentage and cost norms for both systems for your category with your agriculture or horticulture office before deciding.

Main field crops bade area me karta hoon to mere liye sprinkler theek baitha, prati acre kharch kam tha. Mere padosi ne fruit crop me drip liya. Apni fasal aur khet dekh kar chuno, subsidy to peeche aa hi jati hai.

Drip gave me the best water saving and fertigation for my row crop but my share was higher because the per acre cost is more. Small and marginal farmers get a higher subsidy percentage in my state. Confirm the cost norms for both systems for your category with the office.

Check your water source first, drip needs filtration and steady pressure or the drippers clog, while sprinkler is more forgiving. I picked based on water and crop, not the subsidy rate. Many states cap the area or cost per beneficiary, ask the office before deciding.

Subsidy ka percentage bhalehi drip par bada lage, par per acre cost zyada hone se tumhara apna hissa bhi bada hota hai. Maine bade field crop area me sprinkler liya kyunki out of pocket kam tha, aur fruit me drip rakhta to share zyada lagta. Sirf percentage mat dekho, apni jeb se kitna jaayega wo hisaab karo. Apni category ki cost norms office se le lo.

One practical angle is the ongoing maintenance, not just the subsidy. My drip needed filter cleaning and the laterals had to be lifted at harvest in row crops, while the sprinkler was simpler to shift but used more water. Think about labour and upkeep over the years, because the system you can actually maintain saves you more than the one with a slightly bigger subsidy. Confirm the cost norms for both with your office.

Ek pitfall, kuch states me ek hi khet par dobara micro irrigation subsidy lock in period ke andar nahi milti, isliye soch samajh kar system chuno kyunki agle kuch saal badalne ka mauka nahi milega. Maine pehle apni mukhya fasal aur paani dekha, phir lamba chalne wala system liya. Lock in aur per beneficiary cap office se confirm kar lena.
