First get your bank statement or passbook showing the exact date and amount of the deduction, then ask the branch for the application or proposal number they submitted to the insurance company. Check your status on the crop insurance app or portal and on the insurance company's records using your account and policy details. If the bank deducted but failed to upload, the responsibility usually lies with the bank, and you should give a written complaint to the branch and keep a copy. If it is still not fixed, escalate to the insurance company's grievance cell, the agriculture office, and the PMFBY toll-free helpline. Keep all receipts, because they are your proof if a claim later arises. Confirm the current grievance channels with your insurance company.

Mere saath bhi hua, premium kata par portal pe naam nahi tha. Maine branch se proposal number liya, likhit complaint di, do mahine me theek ho gaya. Statement aur passbook sambhaal kar rakho, wahi proof hai.

A tip that worked for me: I checked my status on the crop insurance app using my account number and saw nothing, so I escalated to the PMFBY helpline with my deduction date. Keep pushing both the bank and the insurer, the bank is usually responsible if it failed to upload.

In my case the upload had been done but my name was spelt differently from my Aadhaar, so the portal search failed even though the policy existed. Ask the branch to search by your application or proposal number, not just your name, and get them to correct the spelling and account number on record. A small data mismatch can hide a policy that is actually there, so do not panic until you have checked by the proposal number.
