aadhaar npci seeding bank, dbt enabled account, scheme payment fail aadhaar mapping

Most farm scheme payments (PM-Kisan, state top-ups, subsidy DBT, PMFBY claims) go to your Aadhaar-seeded bank account through NPCI, not just any account number you give. If a payment fails, your Aadhaar is likely not mapped to an active account for DBT. Visit your bank branch, submit the Aadhaar seeding or DBT mapping consent form for the account you actually use, and ask them to confirm it is NPCI mapped. If your Aadhaar is mapped to an old or closed account, get it remapped to the current one, since money goes to whichever account is the latest mapped. You can check your mapped bank on the NPCI or UIDAI facility. After seeding, retry or wait for the next scheme release.
Mera aadhaar purane bank se juda tha jo band ho gaya tha. Naye bank me seeding karwayi tab scheme ka paisa aana shuru hua.
From my experience, after doing the seeding ask the bank exactly which account is now mapped, because if you have more than one account in the same bank the consent must name the right one. Mine got seeded to a dormant account first and payments still failed. Make sure the active account you use is the one mapped on NPCI.
A common mistake is giving the bank your account number and assuming DBT is set. The correct step is the Aadhaar seeding consent so your Aadhaar maps to that account on NPCI. Ask the branch clearly for DBT mapping. PM-Kisan, state top-ups and subsidy DBT all use this mapping, not the plain account number.
A point many miss: there is a difference between linking Aadhaar to your account for KYC and seeding it for DBT on NPCI. The branch did the KYC link and told me it was done, but DBT was not enabled. Ask specifically for DBT mapping or NPCI seeding, and confirm it shows enabled before you expect scheme money.
You can check which bank your Aadhaar is mapped to on the NPCI or UIDAI facility before going. I found mine was mapped to a wrong old account. Remember the latest mapped account receives the money, so if you have many accounts, map the active one you actually use and retry at the next scheme release.
If your branch staff are unsure how to do the NPCI mapping, do not give up, ask them to involve the branch manager or the bank nodal officer for DBT. In a small branch the first person I spoke to did not know the process. The manager knew exactly which form and got it done the same day.
