For a first-time KCC you generally need: a filled application form, identity proof such as Aadhaar, address proof, recent passport-size photographs, and land documents showing your holding such as the record of rights, khasra/khatauni or 7/12 extract. PAN may be asked for higher limits. For animal husbandry or fishery KCC, add proof of the activity such as animal ownership or a pond lease. Many banks process KCC up to a certain limit with simplified paperwork and no separate collateral, since it is covered under government guarantee schemes. Take the originals and copies to your bank branch, or apply through the PM-Kisan KCC facility if you are an existing PM-Kisan beneficiary.
Main PM-Kisan beneficiary tha to bank ne PM-Kisan wali KCC facility ke through jaldi process kar diya, kam kagaz lage. Agar aap pehle se PM-Kisan me ho to branch ko zaroor batao, isse aasani ho jati hai.
Take both originals and photocopies, the branch wanted to verify originals but keep copies on file. I forgot the originals the first time and had to go again. Also carry a recent passbook of the account where you want the limit, it speeds things up.
If you are doing animal husbandry or fishery KCC, do not forget the activity proof like animal ownership or a pond lease, otherwise the bank cannot fix your limit. A relative was sent back twice just for missing this one document. Check the exact list with your branch before going since some banks ask for PAN at higher limits.
