A wrong or old bank account stops the installment because the DBT transfer bounces back. To fix it, you mainly need to update the Aadhaar-bank seeding rather than just change the number in the form, because PM-Kisan pays to the Aadhaar-seeded account through NPCI. Go to your bank branch, give them a written request to seed your Aadhaar to your active account for DBT, and confirm it is NPCI mapped. If your application form itself has the wrong details, use the update facility on pmkisan.gov.in or get help at a CSC. After updating, check Beneficiary Status to confirm the new account reflects, then wait for the next release.

Mera account number theek tha par paisa fir bhi nahi aaya. Bank wale ne bataya account number sahi hone se kuch nahi hota, aadhaar us account se seed hona chahiye DBT ke liye. Maine seeding form bhara aur agli kist us account me aa gayi.

When I went to the bank I made the mistake of only asking to change the account number in the form. The DBT still failed. The correct step was to give the Aadhaar seeding consent so my Aadhaar maps to the new account on NPCI. Ask the branch clearly for DBT mapping, not just an account change.

After updating, do not assume it is done. I checked Beneficiary Status on the portal a week later and the old account was still showing, so I went back and the bank had not completed the mapping. If your branch is slow, the Lead District Manager or the bank nodal officer can be approached. Always verify on the portal before the next release date.

From my experience, after the bank does the Aadhaar seeding, ask them for a small acknowledgement or note it in your passbook update. When the next release was delayed I had no proof the seeding was done, and a second visit wasted a day. A simple written acknowledgement saved me the argument the second time.
