No, husband and wife cannot both draw PM-Kisan for the same family. The scheme treats the family of husband, wife and minor children as a single unit, so only one of them gets the Rs 6000 a year. If both have applied and both are receiving money, it is treated as a wrongful claim and the second one will have to refund the amount when caught during verification. Only when the wife is part of a genuinely separate landholding family (for example a widow with land in her own name, or an adult unmarried daughter) does she qualify on her own. If you mistakenly registered twice, surrender the extra registration at your agriculture office to avoid recovery later.

Hamare gaon me bahut logon ne pati patni dono ka bana liya tha, baad me ek ka paisa wapas karwaya. Ek hi family me ek hi milta hai.

We made this mistake without knowing. Both of us applied in the early days because we thought more land means more benefit. Later during verification one application was marked ineligible and we had to refund. Better to keep only one in the husband or wife name and avoid the trouble.

If you already registered both by mistake, do not wait for them to catch it. Go to your block agriculture office and ask to surrender the extra registration in writing. They told me this counts in your favour and reduces the chance of a recovery notice later.
