Micro sprinkler and fogger nozzles clogging in orchard irrigation, cleaning and maintenance.

Micro sprinklers and foggers have very fine openings, so they block easily from the same causes as drip: silt and dirt that gets past the filter, algae and slime from open water, and mineral scale from hard water. Start with the filter, because an undersized or dirty filter is the most common reason, so clean it and make sure it suits your water. Flush the lines by opening the ends while the pump runs to wash out settled dirt. For individual blocked nozzles, many micro sprinkler and fogger heads can be taken apart and the nozzle and any spinner cleaned, or soaked to clear deposits; check spares with your dealer for worn parts. If the blockage is hard white scale, that is mineral and may need an acid treatment done carefully, with the dose confirmed by your dealer. Keep open tanks shaded to cut algae and flush on a regular schedule. For the right filter and a cleaning routine for foggers on your water, ask your drip and micro irrigation dealer.
My foggers in the polyhouse block from hard water scale. Taking out the nozzles and soaking them brings them back.
A better filter at the head fixed most of my blocking. The fine nozzles just cannot take dirty water.
