What is RKVY and what kind of projects does it actually fund?

RKVY, the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, is best understood as a flexible umbrella fund the centre gives to states to invest in agriculture and allied sectors the way that state needs. It is not usually a scheme you apply to directly for cash; instead it funds projects and infrastructure that the state plans, such as soil health, farm mechanisation, post harvest and storage, horticulture, value addition, and similar.
