People keep telling me to just call the Kisan Call Centre for any farming doubt. I do not know the number or what they can actually answer. Please explain.

The Kisan Call Centre is a free national farm helpline run by the agriculture ministry where you can call and talk to an agriculture graduate in your own language to get advice on crops, pests, diseases, varieties, weather, schemes and general farming doubts. It works on a single toll free number that is the same across the country and operates in many regional languages during its working hours, and if your question needs deeper expertise the call handler can escalate it to a subject specialist who calls you back. I will not quote a number from memory because I do not want to risk giving you a wrong one; you can find the current official Kisan Call Centre toll free number on the Department of Agriculture website, on the back of many input packets and posters, or by asking your local agriculture office or KVK, all of which display it. Keep a pen ready when you call so you can note the advice, and tell them your crop, stage and exact symptom for a useful answer.
Maine ek baar phasal mein keeda lagne par call kiya tha, unhone aasan bhasha mein dawai aur matra bata di. Free hai aur apni bhasha mein baat hoti hai.
Number har jagah likha milta hai, beej ki thaili par bhi. Sahi number wahi se le lo, kisi se sun kar galat number mat dial karo.
Jab call karo to phasal ki avastha aur lakshan saaf bata do, jaise kitne din ki phasal hai aur patti par kya nishan hai. Tabhi sahi salah milti hai.
