There are so many schemes, NLM, PMMSY, Gokul Mission, AHIDF, KCC. I am confused about which one fits my plan and which office to approach. How do I figure this out?

Match the scheme to what you actually want to do, then go to the right office. If you want to set up a goat, poultry, piggery, sheep or feed and fodder unit, the National Livestock Mission entrepreneurship route through your State Animal Husbandry Department is the usual fit, with a back-ended capital subsidy. If you want to improve breeding of indigenous cattle or buffalo, that is the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, also through the Animal Husbandry Department, and it is more about breeding services than a build-your-farm subsidy. If you want anything in fisheries, a new pond, biofloc, RAS, ornamental fish or shrimp, that is PMMSY through your District Fisheries Officer. If you want value addition like milk or meat processing, chilling or feed plants, that is the AHIDF, which gives an interest subvention on a bank loan rather than a capital subsidy, arranged with your bank. And for day to day working capital for animals or fish, a Kisan Credit Card for animal husbandry or fisheries from your bank covers feed and inputs. So the two main offices are your State Animal Husbandry Department for livestock and dairy, and your District Fisheries Office for fish, with the bank for AHIDF and KCC. Since schemes, components and slabs change every year, the practical first step is to visit your district animal husbandry or fisheries office with your plan and ask which currently open scheme fits and what the present slab and documents are.
Maine seedha district animal husbandry office me jaake apna plan bataya, unhone hi bata diya konsi scheme abhi chal rahi hai. Khud guess karne se behtar hai pooch lena.
Fisheries ka kaam alag office se hota hai, animal husbandry se nahi. Ye samajh me aane me mujhe time laga. Sahi office pe jaana aadha kaam hai.
