midh pmfme linkage, pack house processing unit convergence subsidy

Yes, MIDH and PMFME (the PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises scheme) can work together, but they fund different stages so you do not claim the same item twice. MIDH supports the horticulture and post harvest side, like the orchard, protected cultivation, pack house, cold room and ripening chamber. PMFME supports micro food processing enterprises, for example turning your fruit into pulp, jam, dried product, chips or juice, with a credit linked subsidy on the processing unit plus support for branding, marketing and training. So a common plan is: grow and handle the produce with MIDH support, then add value through a PMFME backed processing unit. PMFME runs through the food processing route and a state nodal agency with resource persons who help prepare the DPR, while MIDH runs through the State Horticulture Department, so you deal with two offices. The components, ceilings and eligibility for each vary, so confirm MIDH on your state horticulture portal and PMFME with the state PMFME nodal agency or district resource person, and make sure the two claims cover different items, not the same asset.
MIDH se khet aur pack house, PMFME se processing. Dono alag office hain. Pulp ya jam banana hai to PMFME dekho, fruit handle karna hai to MIDH.
PMFME has a district resource person who helps make the DPR almost for free. Use them, it saves a lot of running around. But remember you cannot get subsidy for the same machine from both schemes.
