new orchard subsidy midh, area expansion fruit plantation assistance

Under MIDH the new orchard or area expansion component gives assistance as a percentage of a fixed cost norm per hectare, not a free hand reimbursement. The support is usually a share of the standard cost (commonly a major part for the establishment year), and it is released in instalments spread over the first three years. The key rule is that the later instalments are paid only if the plants survive, typically you need to keep a minimum survival percentage of the orchard alive to qualify for the second and third year money. The exact subsidy share, the per hectare cost norm, the maximum area allowed per beneficiary, and the survival cutoff all vary by crop, by whether it is a normal spacing or high density orchard, and by state and category. So do not plan your budget on a fixed figure from a neighbour in another state. Check the current cost norms and subsidy percentage for your specific fruit crop on your state horticulture portal, and ask the district horticulture officer whether area expansion targets are open for that crop this year.
Ye instalment wali baat sahi hai. Pehle saal kuch milta hai, phir doosre teesre saal tabhi milta hai jab paudhe zinda rahe. Isliye gap filling time pe karo nahi to survey me kam plants niklenge.
One thing nobody told me at first. There is usually a maximum area per farmer for which they will pay, even if you plant more. So if you have a big field, you get subsidy only up to the cap and the rest is on you. Confirm the cap for your crop before planting.
