SMAM rotavator subsidy percentage, approved cost basis and claim steps.

A rotavator is one of the most commonly subsidised implements under SMAM. The subsidy is usually around 40 to 50 percent of the approved cost, with the higher end for SC, ST, women and small or marginal farmers. The key point is that the subsidy is calculated on the approved or benchmark cost ceiling for the rotavator size, not on whatever the dealer charges, so if the approved cost is lower than the bill, your subsidy is on the lower figure. To claim it: apply on your state or the national agrimachinery portal during the window, get selected (lottery or first-come), buy from an empanelled dealer, upload the bill and machine serial number, let the officer inspect it, and receive subsidy by DBT. Match the rotavator width to your tractor PTO HP so the model you buy is the one approved in your application. Check your state portal for the exact slab and approved cost for the rotavator size you need.
Got my rotavator with about half cost subsidy. The approved cost was a bit below my purchase price, so my subsidy was on that lower amount. Still a good saving.
