SMAM tractor subsidy application process on the agrimachinery portal, eligibility slabs and documents.

Under SMAM the tractor subsidy is given through your state, usually on the national agrimachinery portal (agrimachinery.nic.in) or your own state portal like Raj Kisan Sathi in Rajasthan or e-Krishi Yantra Anudan in Madhya Pradesh. The broad steps are: register on the portal as a farmer with your Aadhaar and mobile, log in and select the tractor or implement you want, choose an empanelled dealer if asked, and submit your application during the open window. Subsidy is roughly 40 to 50 percent of cost in most states for general farmers, with a higher slab for SC, ST, women and small or marginal farmers. Keep Aadhaar, land record, bank passbook, photo and caste certificate (if applicable) ready. After you apply, many states pick beneficiaries by lottery or first-come, then you buy from the approved dealer, an officer inspects the machine, and the subsidy comes by DBT to your bank. Always confirm the exact slab and current window on your state agriculture or agrimachinery portal because rates and rules vary by state.
I applied on the MP portal for a mini tractor. The token came after a lottery, then I had 10 days to buy from the listed dealer and upload the bill. Subsidy hit my account about 2 months after inspection.
One tip from my experience in Rajasthan: keep your bank account seeded with Aadhaar before applying, otherwise the DBT can get stuck even after approval.
