The fourth is paying advances to anyone claiming to be a KUSUM agent without verifying them against the official list, since touts target this scheme. The fifth is neglecting the after sales side, not keeping the work order and warranty terms, not cleaning the panels, and not logging faults with the vendor and then the nodal agency during the maintenance period, which is how people end up paying for repairs that were actually covered. If you apply through the official portal, stay within the empanelled list and the approved sequence, size honestly, keep your documents clean and your paperwork safe, and use the grievance route when a vendor goes quiet, you avoid almost all the common losses.
