My old parents are PM-Kisan beneficiaries but their fingerprints are worn out and biometric eKYC fails at the CSC every time. They also do not have Aadhaar linked mobile. How can I complete their PM-Kisan eKYC?

This is exactly the situation that face authentication eKYC was introduced to solve. The official PM-Kisan mobile app has a face authentication eKYC feature. Using a smartphone, you open the app, choose face authentication eKYC, install the Aadhaar Face RD service if prompted, enter the beneficiary's Aadhaar, and then scan their face with the phone camera in good light. It verifies against the Aadhaar face record, so it needs neither a working fingerprint nor an Aadhaar linked mobile for OTP. For your parents whose fingerprints are worn and who have no linked mobile, this is the best option. You can even do it for both of them from your own phone, one Aadhaar at a time. A few tips, do it in good daylight, keep the face clear without spectacles glare or a covered face, and make sure they are physically present since it is their face being scanned. If face authentication also struggles, the remaining option is to update their mobile number in Aadhaar at an Aadhaar centre so OTP eKYC becomes possible, but face authentication usually succeeds and saves that trip. Use only the official PM-Kisan app and pmkisan.gov.in portal, do not use any unofficial app claiming to do eKYC, as those can misuse Aadhaar data.
Face auth worked for my 75 year old mother in one try after the CSC failed four times on her thumb. Good daylight near a window is the trick.
Only use the official app from the proper source. My neighbour downloaded some fake eKYC app and it asked for too many permissions.
