I changed my SIM and lost my old number that was registered in PM-Kisan. Now I cannot get the OTP for status check and eKYC. How do I update my mobile number in PM-Kisan so I can receive OTP and notifications?

There are two separate mobile numbers to keep in mind, and people confuse them. One is the mobile number saved in your PM-Kisan beneficiary profile, used for scheme SMS and some portal logins. The other is the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar, which is what receives the OTP for Aadhaar based eKYC. For updating the PM-Kisan profile mobile number, the portal's farmer corner sometimes allows limited self update of contact details, and you can also get it updated through your CSC or block agriculture office with your registration number and Aadhaar. But for eKYC OTP, the number that matters is the one in Aadhaar, and that can only be changed at an Aadhaar enrolment or update centre, not on the PM-Kisan portal. So if your problem is that the eKYC OTP is not reaching you, the real fix is to update your mobile number in Aadhaar at an Aadhaar centre, after which OTP eKYC will work on your new number. If your fingerprint works, you can avoid this for now by doing eKYC through biometric at a CSC, or by face authentication on the official app, neither of which needs the OTP. So the practical answer, to update mobile in PM-Kisan profile, use the portal, CSC or agriculture office. To fix OTP problems, update mobile in Aadhaar at an Aadhaar centre. Use only the official pmkisan.gov.in portal and authorised centres.
Yes the Aadhaar linked number is the one for OTP. I wasted a week trying on the PM-Kisan site before I realised I had to update it in Aadhaar first.
