Maggots inside the fruit are from fruit fly, the main pest of all gourds, managed with cucurbit pheromone traps, prompt removal and destruction of infested and fallen fruit, and bagging young fruits on small plots. Yellow to brown angular patches on the upper leaf with greyish mould underneath are downy mildew, which spreads in humid weather and worse in dense vines, so the pandal training already helps air flow, plus avoid evening overhead watering and apply a recommended fungicide following the label if pressure is high. Keep the field free of old crop debris. Since fruit is picked often, respect the pre harvest interval for any spray.
