The per-kg dried spirulina price can look high, but that headline number hides a lot, so treat all figures as ranges and be skeptical of agent promises. Daily yield from a tank is small in fresh weight and shrinks a lot when dried, so you need consistent production and many tanks to reach meaningful quantity. The main risks are: market access (you must find genuine health-product buyers or build your own brand, and FSSAI compliance is required for food use), quality and contamination problems that make a batch unsellable, the steady labour of stirring, harvesting and clean drying, and over-promising consultants or agents who sell setups and then disappear. The growing can work; the income depends almost entirely on a real, paying buyer. Do not invest large amounts on a verbal buy-back. Start small, prove your market, and verify everything locally before scaling.

An agent showed me huge price charts and a buy-back that never came through. The powder is good but selling it at that price needs your own buyers. Please verify the buyer before spending on tanks.

The dried quantity is much smaller than people imagine. A whole tank gives a small handful of powder once dried. You need many tanks and steady daily work to make real volume, that surprised me.
