A vermicompost batch typically takes a couple of months from when you load partially decomposed material to a finished, ready compost, though it varies with temperature, worm population and feedstock. Treat margins as ranges. Your main costs are raw material (cheapest if dung and farm waste are free or local), the one-time worm and bed setup, labour and bagging. Because raw material is often low cost, the margin per bag can be reasonable once you have steady buyers, but the work is in maintaining moisture, harvesting and separating worms, and marketing. The honest view: it is a steady, modest-margin business that rewards low input cost and reliable buyers, not a high-glamour earner. Build your own cost sheet with local dung, bag and selling rates, and confirm any subsidy with your KVK or agriculture department.
Mine takes roughly two months a batch in Indore. The margin is decent because my dung is cheap, but selling is the real work. Without regular buyers you just pile up bags.
