To register as a new PM-Kisan farmer, go to pmkisan.gov.in and click New Farmer Registration under Farmers Corner. Choose Rural or Urban Farmer Registration, enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number and select your state, then verify with OTP. Fill in your personal details, bank account number and IFSC, and land details (khasra/survey number and area), and upload your land record document. After submitting, note your registration number and complete eKYC. You can also register free at any CSC. Approval is done by the state and district agriculture officials, so it may take a few weeks. Keep Aadhaar, bank passbook and land papers ready.

Maine khud online register kiya. Sabse zaroori hai ki khasra number aur jameen ka area bilkul wahi daalo jo records me hai, warna verification me reject ho jaata hai.

After you submit, the form goes to the village/block level for approval first and then the district. Mine sat at block level for a month, so I went and asked the agriculture officer to verify it. Following up in person really speeds it up.

Do not forget the eKYC step right after registering. I assumed registration was enough, but without eKYC the very first installment will not come. Do both on the same day if you can.
