Want to understand the Senna harvest cycle. How many times do I pick leaves and over how long?

Senna is harvested for its leaves over multiple pickings. The first leaf picking usually comes a few months after sowing, and you can take several more pickings at intervals as the crop keeps producing leaves over its season, with pods collected later when they mature. Pick leaves when they are mature and thick but still green for the best quality, and dry them well. The repeated pickings spread your income across the season. Keep the leaf clean and avoid mixing in too much stem, dust or soil, as that lowers the grade. Confirm with your buyer whether they want leaf, pods or both, since prices differ, and check the recommended picking stage with your KVK for your area.
We get a few leaf pickings off each crop. Picking at the right maturity matters, too young or too old and the rate drops.
