A solar pump and drip are a strong combination and they sit under two different schemes. The solar pump comes under PM-KUSUM (Component B for a standalone pump or Component C to solarise an existing pump) and the drip comes under PMKSY Per Drop More Crop. They complement each other well: a solar pump gives free daytime power but only runs when the sun is out, and drip uses a low steady flow over long hours, so a solar pump driving a drip system makes the most of the daylight you have and avoids the waste of trying to flood irrigate in a hurry. The key design point is matching: the pump discharge and pressure must suit the drip system's flow and pressure needs so the laterals run evenly, so tell your vendor you are pairing the two. You apply to each scheme separately, on the PM-KUSUM portal for the pump and the micro irrigation portal for the drip, and the windows and approvals are independent. Whether you can stack both in the same year and any sequencing rule depends on your state, so confirm eligibility for both, the current subsidy rates, and the empanelled vendors on your respective state portals before committing.
