How do I compare two tractor brands before buying?

Compare on the things that affect your daily use and long term cost, not just the showroom price. Key points: the service and spare parts network near you (how far is the service centre, are parts easily available), the resale demand for that model in your area, the warranty terms, fuel efficiency under your kind of work, lift capacity and PTO power versus your implements, and feedback from farmers who actually own that model around you. Ask both dealers for the on road price with all charges, the warranty in writing, and the cost of common spares. Talk to two or three current owners of each model about real reliability and after sales service. A slightly costlier tractor with a strong local service network and good resale often works out cheaper over its life. Decide on total ownership experience, not the sticker price alone.
