I want to apply for a Kisan Credit Card from home without making many trips to the branch. Is there an online way and what are the exact steps?

Yes, you can start a KCC application online and finish it with one branch visit. There are two common online routes. First, through the PM-Kisan portal there is a KCC link that opens a short one-page form for PM-Kisan beneficiaries, which you fill and submit, then your bank contacts you. Second, most banks let you apply from their own net banking or mobile app, or through the Jan Samarth portal which lists KCC under agriculture credit. The basic flow is the same: choose KCC, enter your Aadhaar and account details, fill in your land area and crops, upload land record and photo, and submit. The bank then verifies your land papers and asks you to come in once to sign the documents and complete KYC. Online only saves the first few steps; the land verification and signing still happen at the branch. Portal layouts and which banks are linked keep changing, so check the current option on your own bank app or ask your branch which online channel they accept.
Maine PM-Kisan wale link se form bhara tha. 4-5 din baad branch se call aaya aur ek baar jaake papers sign kiye. Ghar baithe start karne se line me khade hone ka time bach gaya.
Tip from my side: keep a clear photo of your land record and Aadhaar on your phone before you start, otherwise the upload step fails and you have to begin again. I also noted down the application number, it helped when I called the branch to follow up.
