Overview
Complete farming guide for Delhi NCR. Major crops, government schemes, mandi bhav, weather patterns, and agricultural resources. This guide gives Indian farmers practical, actionable steps - updated for 2026 - that you can apply directly to raise income and reduce cost.
Major Crops & Cropping Seasons in Delhi NCR
Delhi NCR's agriculture spans the Kharif (monsoon), Rabi (winter) and Zaid (summer) seasons. Choose crops suited to your district's rainfall, soil and irrigation - sowing windows in Delhi NCR can differ from the all-India calendar, so follow your local KVK advisory. Check live rates for your crops on the Mandi Bhav page and time selling around your harvest.
Government Schemes for the State's Farmers
Farmers can access central schemes - PM Kisan, crop insurance, Kisan Credit Card - plus state-specific subsidies on solar pumps and drip irrigation. See all on the Subsidy Finder.
Mandis & Selling
Sell at the nearest regulated APMC mandi or via eNAM. Compare rates across mandis and grade your produce for the best price.
Irrigation & Inputs
Improve water-use efficiency with subsidised micro-irrigation, and base fertilizer use on a soil health card. For mechanisation, check tractor and equipment subsidies.
